Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, LACE, held their annual auction and fundraiser to a stellar crowd on the mean streets of Hollywood. The hoi polloi of LA artists and collectors rubbed elbows and maybe poked a few eyes in competition for the many fine art works. Brilliantly, executive director Carol Stakenas and her associate director Robert Crouch chose 28 curators to select the work of over 150 artists. Paddles up! The event was a huge success, providing the fuel for another year of art action and aggressive programming.
